About Borsa Istanbul stocks

This page lists the latest observed prices, daily changes and observation times of shares traded on Borsa Istanbul. Borsa Istanbul data is delayed by at least 15 minutes. When the market is closed, the last session’s closing price is shown with its date, and metrics that cannot be verified are left out.

How is a BIST share price formed?

Share prices form during the session as buy and sell orders are matched. The trading day starts with an opening auction, the price updates with every match during continuous trading, and the day’s closing price is set in the closing auction. The daily change compares the latest price with the previous session’s close. Tick sizes and daily price limits are set by the exchange’s rules.

Ticker codes and searching the list

Each company is known on the exchange by a short ticker; Turkish Airlines, for example, trades as THYAO. You can search the list by ticker or company name and use the sector filter to group companies in fields such as banking, industry or energy. Selecting a company opens its price history, chart and technical indicators.

Points to keep in mind when reading a price

Shares on Borsa Istanbul trade in Turkish lira. The list and the product page show the exchange’s own price in lira; choosing dollars or euros on the product page adds the same price converted at a reference rate and marked as approximate. Because past prices can be adjusted after dividends, bonus issues and splits, long-term charts from different sources may show small differences.

For official information such as financial statements, material event disclosures and general meeting resolutions, rely on the companies’ filings on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). You can follow the market as a whole on the indices page and the day’s picture by sector on the heatmap.
