Demisas Foundry

Demisas Dokum Emaye Mamulleri Sanayi A.S. is an industrial company producing cast parts for the automotive and white goods sectors. The company says it has been operating since 1974; its management headquarters are in Darica, Kocaeli, and its production facilities are in Bilecik. Its shares have traded on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker DMSAS since 1997.

Production uses grey, ductile and vermicular cast iron. The company's role as an industrial supplier, which began in 1989 with refrigerator compressor parts, expanded into automotive parts, brake safety parts and heavy-vehicle brake components, and from 2012 it began delivering parts in machined form. Products include flywheels, air brake discs, brake drums, pressure plates, brackets, shaft arms, manifolds and caliper housings. Customers are mainly vehicle manufacturers and tier-one suppliers in the European automotive industry.

For foundries, scrap and pig iron prices, electricity and natural gas costs, heavy commercial and passenger vehicle production in Europe and the euro exchange rate determine profitability.
