Tokenized Commodities (RWA): Gold and Silver Tokens

Tokenized commodities are tokens that stand for an amount of a physical commodity held by a custodian. Every token in this list refers to gold or silver: an issuer holds the metal, usually as bars in a named vault, and issues tokens against it on one or more blockchains.

The tokens differ in what one unit represents, where the metal is held and whether it can be exchanged for metal. The table links to each token’s own price page, which stays with the crypto assets; the notes under it summarise what each issuer states about one token.

Tokens that follow a commodity fund rather than metal in a vault, such as tokenized shares of a gold or oil ETF, belong to the tokenized stocks and ETFs; they are shown here separately for reference.

How this list is built

A token is listed when its issuer states that it is backed by physical metal and its price comes from a verified source. Tokens that only refer to metal still in the ground, or that have no observation in the last month, are left out.

Prices are the tokens’ own market prices in US dollars, not the spot price of gold or silver; a token can trade above or below the value of the metal it stands for.
