Kinesis Silver

Kinesis Silver, KAG for short, is a token representing investment-grade physical silver denominated in ounces. It is issued by Kinesis; the underlying silver is held in the company's insured and independently audited vaults. Together with KAU, the same issuer's gold token, it forms one of the two pillars of Kinesis's approach of using precious metals like digital money.

The silver token applies an income-sharing arrangement similar to the gold one: a portion set aside from transaction fees on the Kinesis platform is regularly distributed to KAG holders, also in KAG. Users can convert KAG into physical silver on the platform, send it to other users or spend it on everyday purchases with Kinesis's virtual card. CoinGecko entries show a contract address for the token on Ethereum.

Because silver depends more on industrial demand than gold does, it is generally a more volatile commodity; the KAG price largely reflects these movements in the per-ounce price of silver. Issuer risk, the continuity of vault audits and limited secondary market liquidity are also factors to consider.
