Pivot Point Calculator

Classic, Fibonacci, Camarilla and Woodie levels from the high, low and close you enter. Levels are formula outputs and do not predict future prices.

Example values

Preset inputs are example scenarios, not current market quotes. Enter verified session prices for analysis.

Price inputs

The pivot point is the average of the previous session’s high, low and close; support and resistance levels are derived from it.

About the pivot point calculator

What is a pivot point?

A pivot point is a reference level derived from the previous period’s high, low and closing prices. Together with the support and resistance levels calculated around it, it is used in technical analysis to discuss where price might pause. Intraday traders usually work with daily pivots, while longer-term reviews use weekly or monthly ones. The levels are the output of a formula and do not mean that price will turn at those points.

Classic, Fibonacci, Camarilla and Woodie

The Classic method takes the average of the three prices as the pivot and spreads the period’s range on either side of it. The Fibonacci method uses the same pivot but divides the range by Fibonacci ratios. Camarilla produces closely spaced levels nearer the closing price, and Woodie gives more weight to the close. Seeing all four methods side by side with the same inputs shows how much the levels depend on the method chosen.

Which prices should you enter?

For daily levels, enter the high, low and close of the previous trading day; for weekly levels, those of the previous week. In markets that trade without a break, such as crypto, the day boundary can vary between data providers, so note the time zone of the source you use. The preset values in the tool are example scenarios, not current market prices.

Limits of the method

Pivot levels do not take trading volume, news flow or the broader direction of the market into account. Price can pass through a level easily or never reach it. You can take all calculated levels at once with the copy button and use the position size tool to look at them together with a risk plan.
