Barem Packaging

Barem Ambalaj Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. is a packaging manufacturer that makes boxes from paper and cardboard, headquartered in the organized industrial zone in the Tire district of Izmir. Its shares have traded on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker BARMA since 2022.

According to its articles of association, the company's business is the manufacture and trade of corrugated board, corrugated sheets, dry paper, offset-printed boxes and all kinds of packaging and boxes; its current field of activity is defined as the production of boxes from paper or cardboard. Corrugated boxes are used as transport and shipping packaging in many areas such as food, agricultural products, white goods, textiles and e-commerce shipments, while offset-printed boxes serve applications that require higher print quality for the product's shelf appearance. In its corporate identity, the company presents packaging and paper together.

For corrugated packaging producers, the main variables investors watch are kraft and waste paper prices, energy costs, trends in industrial production and exports, e-commerce volume and collection periods from customers. How quickly changes in raw material prices can be passed on to selling prices is decisive for margins.
