What is Tekfen Holding (TKFEN)?
Tekfen Holding A.S. is a group of companies headquartered in Besiktas, Istanbul, with a long-standing background in contracting. The holding's legal entity was established in 1971, and its shares were offered to the public in 2007, when they began trading on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker TKFEN.
The group's activities are organized along two main lines. In the contracting group, Tekfen Insaat and Tekfen Muhendislik undertake oil, gas and petrochemical plants, pipelines, infrastructure and building projects in Turkey and abroad. In the agro-industry group, Toros Tarim produces and sells chemical fertilizers; the group also has companies in real estate development and agricultural technology.
