What is Ray Insurance (RAYSG)?
Ray Sigorta A.S. is an insurance company founded in 1958 as a partnership of public institutions such as Turkish State Railways, Turkish Airlines and PTT. The company was privatized in 1992, and its shares began trading on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker RAYSG in 1997. Since 2007, its majority shareholder has been Austria-based Vienna Insurance Group; it is headquartered in Sariyer, Istanbul.
Ray Sigorta serves individual and corporate customers in non-life lines: motor own-damage and traffic insurance, home and commercial property insurance, health, travel and personal accident policies, and agricultural, marine cargo and engineering insurance are in its product range. Sales are made through agents, banks and digital channels.
