Goodyear Lastikleri

Goodyear Lastikleri Turk Anonim Sirketi is the Turkish company of the global tyre maker Goodyear. Its head office is in Sariyer, Istanbul, and its shares trade on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker GOODY.

Its business is the production of outer tyres for passenger cars, pickups, minibuses, trucks and buses, as well as tread rubber used in retreading. The company also sells products such as construction equipment tyres, inner tubes and flaps. On the consumer side, the Goodyear range of summer, all-season and winter tyres is sold through the dealer network, while the group's Fulda and Sava brands and commercial tyres and services for fleets are also offered. Products go both to carmakers as original equipment for new vehicles and to the replacement market, and part of production is exported.

For tyre makers, the main variables investors watch are the prices of raw materials such as natural and synthetic rubber, carbon black and steel cord, energy costs, automotive production, demand in the replacement market, competition from imported tyres and currency movements. The terms of exports and commercial dealings with the parent company also play a role in the assessment.
