What is Tupras (TUPRS)?
Tüpraş, whose full name is Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri A.S., is a refining company founded in 1983, and its shares have traded on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker TUPRS since 1991. The controlling stake is held by the Koc Group through Koc Holding and Enerji Yatirimlari A.S., a Koc Group company.
At its refineries in Izmit, Izmir, Kirikkale and Batman, Tüpraş processes imported and domestic crude oil into products such as gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, LPG, naphtha, fuel oil, asphalt and lubricant base oils. Its affiliates include fuel distributor Opet, shipping company Ditas and companies involved in power generation.
