Türkiye Sigorta A.S. took its present form in 2020 through the merger of the state-owned Gunes Sigorta, Halk Sigorta and Ziraat Sigorta within the Turkey Wealth Fund. The company's legal entity dates back to 1957; it is headquartered in Sisli, Istanbul, and its shares trade on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker TURSG.
The company writes policies in lines other than life insurance: motor own-damage (kasko) and compulsory traffic insurance, home and commercial fire insurance, engineering, marine cargo, liability, health and agricultural insurance are the main ones.
