What is Korfez REIT (KRGYO)?
Körfez Gayrimenkul Yatırım Ortaklığı A.S. is a real estate investment trust (GYO) based in Sisli, Istanbul, and an affiliate of Kuveyt Turk Katilim Bankasi, a participation (interest-free) bank. Its shares trade on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker KRGYO.
The company was founded in 1996 under the name Korfez Gayrimenkul Insaat Taahhut Turizm Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. and later converted to a real estate investment trust structure. Its scope of activity is investing in real estate, real estate projects, real estate-based rights and capital market instruments. The company's portfolio includes the Korfez Termal timeshare resort, offices at the Istanbul Finance Center and Torun Center, the Kartal Horizon project, and land plots in Icmeler, Tuzla and in Kilyos. The portfolio thus has a mixed structure made up of commercial space, tourism properties and land with development potential.
