Goknur Gida

Goknur Gida Maddeleri Enerji Imalat Ithalat Ihracat Ticaret ve Sanayi A.S. is a food producer active in fruit and vegetable juices and concentrates, headquartered in Etimesgut, Ankara. According to its corporate history, it has been in the food sector since 1993 and moved into manufacturing in 1998 with the fruit concentrate plant it set up in Nigde. GOKNR shares trade on Borsa Istanbul.

Production takes place at facilities in several provinces, chiefly Nigde, Afyonkarahisar and Kozan in Adana, and the company also owns orchards where it grows organic fruit. A wide range of fruits and vegetables, such as apples, pears, carrots, pomegranates, sour cherries, grapes, strawberries and citrus, is processed into clear and cloudy concentrates, purees and puree concentrates, deionized products, IQF frozen fruit, natural peel oils, natural aromas and dried seeds. Consumer products such as nectars and fruit juices, as well as private-label production, are also part of the business. The bulk of output is exported; the Gulf-backed Venture Capital Bank joined the company's shareholders in 2012.

For fruit juice concentrate producers, harvest yields and raw fruit prices, beverage demand in export markets, the exchange rate level, energy and freight costs, and inventory financing are the topics investors follow. Weather-related swings in crop volumes can noticeably affect seasonal results.
