Gozde Venture Capital

Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi A.S. is a publicly traded venture capital investment trust set up to invest in companies with growth potential that need funding or restructuring. It was founded in January 2010 under the name Gozde Finansal Hizmetler and took its current name in July 2011. It is headquartered in Uskudar, Istanbul, and its shares trade on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker GOZDE.

In its investments outside the food sector, the company follows the principle of drawing on the knowledge and expert resources that Yildiz Holding has accumulated over the years. Its active portfolio includes Sok Marketler, footwear retailer Flo, Polinas Plastik, Penta Teknoloji, Makina Takim, Azmusebat and Turkiye Finans Katilim Bankasi, a participation bank (interest-free banking), as well as Gozde Tech Ventures, which focuses on technology start-ups. Propak, Kumas Manyezit, Farmamak and Sebat Cakmak are listed as past investments that have been exited.

For venture capital investment trusts, investors follow net asset value (NAV), the discount or premium of the share price to that value, the operating results of portfolio companies, exit transactions and the level of indebtedness. For GOZDE shares, the price movements of the listed companies in the portfolio are also directly relevant.
