Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. is an integrated iron and steel producer in Karabuk that makes long products from ore. The company's shares trade on Borsa Istanbul in three separate classes; the ticker KRDMB refers to the B-class shares, while the A- and D-class shares are traded under the tickers KRDMA and KRDMD.

According to the company's product catalog, the Karabuk Iron and Steel Works were founded in 1937 and took the name Kardemir after privatization in 1995. The plant produces railway rails, various I, H and U sections, angles, wire rod, ribbed reinforcing steel, plain round bars, blooms, billets, mine props and pig iron; its coke plants yield coke and by-products such as benzole and tar. These products are supplied as inputs to the construction, mining, transport and manufacturing industries. Because it has taken part in the design and assembly of many industrial plants since its founding, the company is known as "the Factory that Builds Factories".
