BIST 50 Index

Published under the code XU050, the BIST 50 index belongs to Borsa Istanbul's group of benchmark indices and brings large and upper-mid-sized companies together in a single basket. This structure provides an intermediate layer between narrow indices that focus only on very large companies and the broader-based general index.

Constituents are selected using free-float capitalization and trading volume, and the list is renewed periodically. The index is calculated in Turkish lira using the capitalization-weighted price index method and is tracked in points.
