What is Hubbell Incorporated (HUBB)?
Hubbell Incorporated is a US electrical and electronic products company headquartered in Shelton, Connecticut, and founded in 1888. Its shares trade on the NYSE under the ticker HUBB and are included in S&P's broad-based US stock index. The company's products are used in many links of the electricity transmission and distribution chain, from the power grid to buildings.
Hubbell works in two main segments. The Utility Solutions segment offers connectors, switches, insulators, pole hardware and smart metering and communications products for electricity distribution and transmission companies. The Electrical Solutions segment covers wiring devices, connectors, lighting products and electrical equipment suited to hazardous environments for use in buildings and industrial facilities. The products are used mainly in grid renewal and building electrification projects.
