What is Bloom Energy Corporation (BE)?
Bloom Energy Corporation is an energy technology company headquartered in San Jose, California, founded in 2001. Its shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker BE, and it is a member of the S&P 500 index. The company focuses on generating electricity at the point of use, independent of the grid.
Its core product is the Bloom Energy Server system built on solid oxide fuel cell technology. Electrolyzer products, which produce hydrogen by running the same technology in reverse, are also among its product groups. After installation, systems are operated under maintenance and service contracts.
Those following Bloom Energy stock typically track electricity demand from data centers, price trends for hydrogen and natural gas, and incentive rules for clean energy.
