What is Qubic?
Qubic is a layer-one network with its own blockchain that aims to run smart contracts directly on hardware. The network operates through a committee made up of a limited number of validator computers (computors); state changes are accepted with the majority approval of this committee. In the project, the computing power spent by miners is directed toward neural network training under an AI initiative called Aigarth. Qubic describes this approach as Useful Proof of Work.
The QUBIC token is the network's native unit. According to the project documentation, simple transfers are made without transaction fees, while the resources needed to run smart contracts are paid for by burning tokens. Contracts are written in C++ and executed in the network's own runtime environment. Seats on the validator committee are periodically reallocated based on scores determined by mining contribution.
On Lzzo.com, the Qubic price is tracked using DefiLlama's US dollar reference data; the values on this page are for information, and technical details about the project should be verified in the official documentation.
