What is Kamino (KMNO)?
Kamino Finance is a decentralized finance protocol on Solana that combines lending, liquidity provision and leveraged strategies in a single platform. The project began with vaults that automatically manage concentrated liquidity positions, then launched a lending market called Kamino Lend. KMNO is the protocol's token issued on Solana.
On Kamino Lend, users can deposit assets to earn interest or borrow against collateral. The liquidity vaults automatically rebalance range-based positions on decentralized exchanges and reinvest the fees earned. The Multiply product, for example, makes it easier to open leveraged positions on liquid staking tokens. KMNO holders can take part in protocol governance, and those who stake the token can gain advantages in reward programs.
KMNO's trajectory may depend on deposit and borrowing volume in the protocol, overall activity in the Solana ecosystem, unlocks, and smart contract and oracle risks. The price seen on the Kamino page on Lzzo.com comes from the KMNO/USDT pair on Binance; the value, converted into dollars at Coinbase Exchange's USDT/USD rate, is also tracked on the chart.
