Provenance Blockchain

Provenance Blockchain is a proof of stake layer-one blockchain designed for financial services and built with the Cosmos SDK. The network is used in particular for registering, transferring and financing loan products such as mortgages and other traditional financial assets on-chain. HASH is the network's native coin; because the same symbol can appear in other projects, it is listed in the catalogue under the name Provenance Blockchain.

Figure Technologies, which runs loan products on blockchain, has played a decisive role in the network's development; Figure's lending platforms and its yield-bearing stablecoin product YLDS run on Provenance. HASH is used to pay transaction fees, to secure the network by being staked with validators, and in governance votes on protocol upgrades. The network is designed so that the permission and compliance controls institutions need can be enforced at the smart contract level.
