Product information
What is Arcium (ARX)?
Arcium is a decentralized confidential computing network that allows computations to be performed on data without decrypting it. The project uses Solana as its base network but is designed so that it can also serve applications on other blockchains. Target use cases include privacy-sensitive DeFi applications such as hidden order books (dark pools) and auctions, artificial intelligence inference and private data collaborations. ARX is the token of the Arcium network.
At the heart of the network is secure multi-party computation (MPC). The data to be processed is split into secret shares and distributed across clusters of nodes called Arx; no single node can see the full data, yet the nodes work together to produce the correct result. Developers can write applications using this infrastructure with the Rust-based Arcis framework. ARX is used to pay for services on the network, while participants operating Arx nodes stake ARX to join the network.
The ARX price can be affected by factors such as how far privacy-sensitive applications adopt this infrastructure, the growth of the node network, token unlocks and regulatory approaches to privacy technologies. Lzzo.com shows DefiLlama's US dollar reference price for Arcium; the chart is derived from the same source.
