Product information
What is Soybeans Futures (ZS)?
The soybean is a legume rich in protein and oil. Most of the harvested beans are crushed into two main products: soybean meal, used as a protein source in animal feed, and soybean oil, used in food and biodiesel production. This places soybeans at the center of global feed and vegetable oil markets.
Brazil and the US are the decisive countries in production and exports, while Argentina stands out for its exports of soybean meal and oil. China is the main buyer, influencing prices through its import demand. Because of this structure, trade relations between the US and China and the harvest and weather in South America can directly affect the soybean price.
The soybean futures value on Lzzo.com is based on front-month data (ZS=F) for the contract traded on CBOT, obtained via Yahoo Finance. The contract is quoted in cents per bushel, and the site converts this value into US dollars. The price shown does not include physical delivery premiums or local market differences.
