Coffee Arabica

Product information
What is Coffee Arabica (KC)?
Arabica is the coffee species widely used in specialty coffees and roasted coffee blends because of its taste and aroma. It grows in high-altitude, relatively cool regions; Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia and Central American countries are among the main production regions. Robusta, which is hardier and generally used in soluble coffee, is priced in a separate market.
The international price benchmark for arabica is the Coffee 'C' futures contract traded on the ICE Futures U.S. exchange, quoted in cents per pound. The coffee (arabica) value on Lzzo.com is based on front-month contract (KC=F) data obtained via Yahoo Finance and is shown after conversion into US dollars.
Weather events in Brazil such as frost and drought, harvest cycles, inventory levels, the value of the Brazilian real and shipping costs are the main factors affecting the coffee price. The futures price refers to raw (green) coffee beans; processing, packaging and distribution costs are added to the price of roasted coffee sold in cafes and supermarkets.
