Product information
What is Half Gold Turkey (YRM/TRY)?
Yarım altın (half gold coin) is a twenty-two-karat gold coin in the ornamental (ziynet) series of the Turkish State Mint (Darphane), weighing twice as much as the quarter coin. It is given as jewelry especially at ceremonies such as weddings and engagements and is seen as a higher-value gift option than the quarter coin. Physically, it can be bought and sold at jewelers and some banks.
The half gold value on Lzzo.com is a gold-content model. The pure gold contained in the coin is found by multiplying its gross weight under the Mint standard by the twenty-two-karat purity ratio; this amount is converted into Turkish lira using the gold ounce reference (the PAXG token quote) and the daily exchange rate. In the model, the value of the half coin is by definition twice that of the quarter gold model.
The market price forms differently: when selling, jewelers reflect workmanship and minting costs, their own premiums and the buy/sell spread in the price, and they apply a lower price when buying back. The coin's minting year and condition can also affect the price. The value shown on the site does not cover these elements and is not a jeweler's or bank quote.
