Product information
What is Full Ziynet Gold Turkey (TAM/TRY)?
Tam Ziynet Altın (full ornamental gold coin) is the large coin of the ziynet series of the Turkish State Mint (Darphane) and is equal in weight to four quarter coins. It is struck from twenty-two-karat gold, bears ornamental patterns and is among the valuable gifts presented especially at weddings. In everyday speech it is called simply 'tam altın' or 'ziynet altın'.
The full ziynet coin differs from the Cumhuriyet coin in appearance and weight: the Cumhuriyet coin bears a portrait of Ataturk on its obverse and is slightly heavier. For this reason, the two products' prices are followed separately in the market. The Tam Ziynet Altın model on Lzzo.com is based on the pure gold content found by multiplying the coin's gross weight under the Mint standard by the twenty-two-karat purity ratio.
This amount of pure gold is converted into Turkish lira using the gold ounce reference (the PAXG token quote) and the daily exchange rate. The resulting value is the theoretical equivalent of the gold contained in the coin, a gold-content model rather than a dealer price; the workmanship, premium and buy/sell spread applied by jewelers are not included in the model. The amount paid or received in a physical transaction therefore differs.
