What is Targa Resources Corp. (TRGP)?
Targa Resources Corp. is an energy infrastructure company headquartered in Houston, Texas. Its shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker TRGP, and it is a member of the S&P 500 index. The company works in the midstream segment, the intermediate stage that follows oil and natural gas production.
Its activities fall under two main headings. In gathering and processing, raw natural gas coming out of wells at production fields is collected through pipelines and then dried and separated at processing plants; operations are concentrated in areas of heavy production such as the Permian Basin. In logistics and transportation, natural gas liquids are split into components, stored, transported and shipped to the world market through export terminals. The Galena Park terminal in Texas is one of the important links in this chain.
When following Targa Resources stock, oil and natural gas production volumes, export demand for natural gas liquids, capacity investments in processing plants and commodity price trends are taken into account. On the TRGP page at Lzzo.com the price is shown in US dollars, and a price chart and technical indicators appear on the same page.
