What is ConocoPhillips (COP)?
ConocoPhillips is a US oil and natural gas exploration and production company. It does not run refineries or fuel stations; its activities concentrate on finding, extracting and marketing hydrocarbons. Its shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker COP.
Its production assets are located mainly in US shale basins, particularly the Permian, Eagle Ford and Bakken regions. The acquisition of Marathon Oil expanded these onshore assets. It also produces in other regions, notably Alaska, Canada and Norway; stakes in liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects form a separate growth area on the gas side.
Oil and gas prices, OPEC+ decisions, production efficiency per well, cost inflation and capital spending discipline are the key factors watched for this stock. On the COP page at Lzzo.com, the share value is read in US dollars; the same value can be converted into Turkish lira, euros or pounds sterling. A historical chart, technical indicators, the data source used and the time the entry was updated are on the page.
