Halliburton Company is a US oilfield services company headquartered in Houston, Texas, and founded in 1919. Its shares trade on the NYSE under the ticker HAL and are included in S&P's broad-based US stock index. The company does not extract oil and gas; it provides services and equipment to producers at the drilling, completion and production stages.
Halliburton works in two main segments. The Completion and Production segment covers pressure pumping services such as hydraulic fracturing, well completion tools and artificial lift solutions.
