What is Equinor ASA (EQNR)?
Equinor ASA is a Norway-based energy company that was named Statoil until 2018. Its shares trade on the Oslo Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange; the EQNR line on the NYSE belongs to the company's American depositary receipt (ADR) program. The company's majority shareholder is the Norwegian state.
At the center of its operations are oil and natural gas fields on the Norwegian continental shelf, most of which the company operates. Its international exploration and production activities extend to Brazil, the US, the United Kingdom and other countries. On the renewables side, it works on offshore wind projects, carbon capture and storage and lower-carbon solutions; energy trading and marketing are also part of its operations.
Oil and European gas prices, Norway's tax regime, the costs of offshore wind projects and capital spending discipline are watched for this stock. The EQNR page on Lzzo.com presents the price in US dollars; there is an option to convert into Turkish lira, euros or pounds sterling. A price chart, technical indicators, the data source and the time of the last update are on the page.
