EQT Corporation is a natural gas producer headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, whose roots go back to Equitable Gas, founded in 1888. Its shares trade on the NYSE under the ticker EQT. It has no connection with the Sweden-based private equity firm EQT AB. The company is also an S&P 500 member.

The company produces natural gas and natural gas liquids from the Marcellus and Utica shale formations in the Appalachian basin, which spans Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. By acquiring Equitrans Midstream in 2024 it built an integrated structure stretching from production fields to gathering and pipeline transport. The company's gas reaches consumers in the eastern United States, power plants and liquefied natural gas export facilities.
