Product information
What is ASM International N.V. (ASM.AS)?
ASM International N.V. is a Dutch company that develops thin-film deposition equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing. Its shares trade on Euronext Amsterdam under the ticker ASM.
Chip manufacturing requires layers of material to be added one after another at the atomic scale onto silicon wafers. ASM's focus is atomic layer deposition (ALD) systems, which form these layers with extremely precise thickness; this technology plays a critical role in new transistor architectures in advanced logic chips and in high-bandwidth memory. The company also makes epitaxy systems that grow crystalline layers, plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) equipment and vertical diffusion furnaces. Its customers are foundries, logic chipmakers and memory companies. ASM also holds a minority stake in ASMPT, an assembly equipment maker listed in Hong Kong.
Those following ASM track investment in advanced manufacturing nodes, the capacity plans of large foundries, export restrictions targeting China and the spending cycle in the memory sector. The ASM International page on Lzzo.com shows the price in US dollars; switching to Turkish lira, euros or pounds sterling is possible. A historical chart, technical indicators, the data source and the time of the last update are also on the page.
