QNB Portfoy US Dollar ETF

The fund traded on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker USDTR is the QNB Portfoy Amerikan Dolari Yabanci Borsa Yatirim Fonu (US Dollar Foreign ETF), set up by QNB Portfoy Yonetimi and in operation since 2012. According to its founder, the fund's objective is to reflect the performance of the US dollar against the Turkish lira to investors.

To achieve this objective, the fund uses the method of holding the assets covered by the index it tracks directly in its portfolio. Each fund unit consists of a set amount of US dollar-denominated currency and a small Turkish lira cash component. This allows investors to gain exposure to changes in the dollar exchange rate through an instrument that can be bought and sold like a stock on the equity market, without opening a foreign currency bank account.
