What is Danish Krone / Turkish Lira (DKK/TRY)?
DKK/TRY is the cross rate showing how many Turkish lira one Danish krone is worth. The krone is managed by Denmark's central bank, Danmarks Nationalbank. Besides Denmark, the krone is also used in Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
Denmark is a member of the European Union but holds an opt-out from adopting the euro, and joining the euro was rejected in a referendum held in 2000. Instead, a fixed exchange rate policy is followed: since 1999 the krone has been kept within a narrow band against the euro under the European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM II). Danmarks Nationalbank sets its interest rate decisions largely with the aim of maintaining this link.
Because of this link, DKK/TRY moves in almost the same direction and by a similar proportion as EUR/TRY; the main source of change in the rate is the Turkish lira's path against the euro. Lzzo.com shows a cross reference rate for DKK/TRY calculated from market exchange rates, not a bank buy/sell price; prices in cash currency transactions may differ.
