What is Swiss Franc / Turkish Lira (CHF/TRY)?
CHF/TRY shows the Turkish lira value of one Swiss franc. The franc is the currency of Switzerland and Liechtenstein and is managed by the Swiss National Bank. Switzerland's low inflation, strong external balance and long-established financial sector make the franc one of the currencies that international investors regard as a safe haven.
In periods of rising global uncertainty, the franc usually gains value, which can push CHF/TRY higher beyond changes in the Turkish lira. The Swiss National Bank, for its part, uses interest rate policy and, when needed, currency interventions to limit the effect of an overvalued franc on Swiss exporters and price stability. As a result, unlike EUR/TRY and USD/TRY, CHF/TRY can react separately to shifts in global risk perception.
The movement of CHF/TRY combines the franc's path against the euro and the dollar with the Turkish lira's general trend. The CHF/TRY value on Lzzo.com is a cross reference rate calculated from market exchange rates; it does not reflect intraday moves as they happen and is not a bank buy/sell price.
