What is Trust Wallet (TWT)?
Trust Wallet is a mobile and browser wallet that supports many blockchains and in which users keep their own private keys. The wallet was acquired by Binance in 2018. TWT was issued in 2020 as the ecosystem token of Trust Wallet and exists mainly as a token on BNB Chain. The wallet lets users manage assets on different networks such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain from a single app.
The uses of TWT relate to perks and incentives within the wallet: the project states that it offers token holders benefits such as discounts on certain transactions, participation in reward programs and a say in decisions related to the ecosystem. Because Trust Wallet does not hold user assets itself, wallet security depends largely on users protecting their recovery phrase; this is the key difference from custodial exchange accounts.
The value of TWT can be affected by wallet usage, developments in the Binance ecosystem and the general course of the crypto market. On Lzzo.com, the Trust Wallet price is a reference calculated by converting the Binance TWT/USDT pair into dollars using the Coinbase USDT/USD observation.
