What is Reserve Rights (RSR)?
Reserve Protocol is a platform that lets users create tokens backed by a basket of assets, which can be minted and redeemed on-chain. Originally known as RTokens, these products were later renamed under the Decentralized Token Folio (DTF) umbrella. Some DTFs focus on yield-bearing stablecoin baskets, while others offer index-like crypto baskets. DefiLlama tracks the protocol in its index category, and deployments exist on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and BNB Chain.
Reserve Rights, or RSR, is the protection and governance layer of this system. When RSR holders stake their tokens on a particular DTF, the staked tokens serve as additional collateral that absorbs the first loss in situations such as an asset in the basket losing value; in return, stakers can receive a share of the income generated by that DTF and vote on governance decisions. Staked RSR is therefore an asset that can be used to cover a shortfall in the event of a loss.
On Lzzo.com, RSR is tracked by converting its Binance USDT price into US dollars using Coinbase's USDT/USD rate. The value shown is a reference and is provided for information only.
