What is PancakeSwap (CAKE)?
PancakeSwap is a decentralized exchange based on the automated market maker (AMM) model, launched on BNB Smart Chain in September 2020. Users can swap tokens without a brokerage intermediary and earn a share of trading fees by adding assets to liquidity pools. Over time the platform expanded to other networks such as Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and Aptos.
Besides swaps, PancakeSwap offers products such as farm rewards, new token sale events, a prediction market, a lottery and a futures trading interface. The platform's new pool architecture, called Infinity, aims to combine different pool types and customizable hooks in a single framework.
CAKE is the platform's native token; it is used for liquidity incentives, participation in some products and governance processes. Regular token burns using part of the fees are part of the tokenomics design. The PancakeSwap price on Lzzo.com is based on the CAKE/USDT pair on Binance and converted to US dollars using Coinbase Exchange's USDT/USD rate; it is for information.
