What is Olympus (OHM)?
Olympus is a protocol launched on Ethereum in 2021 that positions its OHM token as a decentralized reserve currency. OHM is not a stablecoin and is not pegged to any currency. Instead, each token is backed by assets held in the protocol treasury, and the token's relationship with this treasury is managed through protocol policies.
In its early days, the protocol was known for a model of owning its own liquidity through bond sales and for high staking rewards. Later, tools were introduced such as Range Bound Stability, automated market operations that try to keep the OHM price within a set band, and Cooler Loans, which allow borrowing against gOHM collateral. Decisions are made through OlympusDAO governance, in which OHM holders vote.
Besides Ethereum, OHM also exists as a bridged token on several other networks. The Olympus price on Lzzo.com is taken from DefiLlama's US dollar reference data; the values are provided for information.
