What is MX?
MX is the platform token of MEXC, a centralized cryptocurrency exchange founded in 2018 and known for listing a wide range of altcoins. The token was created under the Ethereum token standard while the exchange operated under its former name, MXC, and a version also exists on the Morph network. Its uses are largely confined to the MEXC ecosystem.
MX holders can receive trading fee discounts on the exchange and can take part in Kickstarter votes on projects to be listed, as well as in Launchpad and airdrop events. The exchange has announced MX burn programs from time to time. This structure shows that the token's utility is directly tied to MEXC's business model and campaign policies. DefiLlama tracks MEXC in its centralized exchange category and reports the exchange's wallet holdings across different networks.
For tokens tied to a centralized exchange, regulatory developments, the countries in which the exchange operates and changes to its terms of service can affect the token's scope of use. The MX price on Lzzo.com is taken from DefiLlama's US dollar reference data and is for information only.
