What is JPYSC?
JPYSC is a stablecoin pegged to the Japanese yen and issued through a trust structure. The issuer is Shinsei Trust & Banking, a trust bank belonging to the SBI group; the token is issued under Japan's framework for electronic payment instruments and is presented as a product jointly developed by SBI Holdings and Singapore-based Startale Group. JPYSC is currently available on Ethereum.
In Japan, distribution and trading services are provided through SBI VC Trade, the SBI group's crypto asset exchange. According to the exchange's announcements, JPYSC trading began in June 2026, after which a lending service for the token was added; transfers of the token to external wallets are not yet supported. In the trust-type structure, reserve assets are held in a trust account separate from the issuer's own assets; the news feed on CoinGecko also reports that the reserves have been diversified with Japanese government bonds.
As long as the yen peg holds, JPYSC's dollar value largely tracks the USD/JPY rate. The value shown on the Lzzo.com page is DefiLlama's dollar-based reference, and the chart shows the history of this data. Because the token currently trades through a limited distribution channel, secondary market liquidity and regulatory steps concerning free circulation on public blockchains should also be taken into account.
