Immutable

Immutable is a platform that provides scaling infrastructure and developer tools on Ethereum for blockchain games and digital assets. IMX is the ecosystem token issued under the Ethereum token standard. The company's first product, Immutable X, was a layer-two solution that used StarkWare technology to make NFT transactions cheap and fast; it was followed by the EVM-compatible Immutable zkEVM, developed together with Polygon.

IMX is the gas token used to pay transaction fees on Immutable zkEVM and is also used for the protocol fees charged on transactions in the ecosystem's marketplaces. Token holders can take part in governance processes concerning the ecosystem. On the player side, a wallet and login system called Immutable Passport aims to let users manage their digital assets across different games with a single account. Developers, meanwhile, can bring in-game assets on-chain using ready-made contracts and marketplace infrastructure.
