Geodnet

Geodnet is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) made up of GNSS reference stations set up by participants. The network aims to calculate the errors in signals from GPS and other satellite navigation systems, produce correction data and thereby bring positioning accuracy to the centimeter level. GEOD is the project's token, found on the Polygon and Solana networks.

Each station continuously receives satellite signals, calculates the positioning error at its location and passes this information to the network. The collected data is distributed as an RTK correction service via the NTRIP protocol and an API. Users of the service include sectors that need precise positioning, such as drones, agricultural machinery and robots, and surveying and construction technology companies. Station owners are rewarded with GEOD for expanding and maintaining the network's coverage; the token is positioned as the tool that encourages the network to grow through distributed participation.

The GEOD price may depend on factors such as the development of corporate demand for the correction service, the growth rate of the station network, the supply created by rewards distributed to station owners and competition with traditional RTK service providers.
