BNB Attestation Service

BNB Attestation Service (BAS) is infrastructure developed on BNB Chain for creating and managing verifiable statements, known as attestations, about on-chain and off-chain information. An attestation serves to register, in a signed and auditable form, that an address has passed a particular identity check, that a transaction took place or that a user has a certain history. BAS is also the name of this infrastructure's token, issued on BNB Chain.

The system offers a standard framework for creating attestations and relies on the BNB Greenfield storage network to store the data. The project has recently shifted its focus in particular towards autonomous software agents: the on-chain commercial activity of agents and users, together with the feedback they receive, can be turned into portable reputation and credit profiles. According to the project's announcements, the BAS token is used for attestation creation and verification fees and for access to credit profile services.

The BAS price is sensitive to factors such as how far applications actually use the attestation infrastructure, interest in the AI agent economy, the token's distribution and the general state of the BNB Chain ecosystem.
