Truist Financial Corporation is a bank holding company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was formed in 2019 through the merger of BB&T and SunTrust Banks, and the roots of both banks go back to the 1800s. Its shares trade on the NYSE under the ticker TFC and the company is a component of the S&P 500.
Truist serves clients mainly through a branch network in the southeastern and mid-Atlantic United States. In retail banking it offers deposit accounts, credit cards, mortgages and auto loans. In commercial and corporate banking it provides financing, cash management and capital markets services to businesses. The wealth management segment offers services such as investment and retirement planning to individuals and families.
