What is Tesla, Inc. (TSLA)?
Tesla, Inc. is a US electric vehicle and clean energy company based in Austin, Texas. Its shares trade on Nasdaq under the ticker TSLA. The company builds its vehicles at its factories in the US, China and Germany.
Most of its income comes from sales of the Model Y and other passenger models, as well as vehicles such as the Cybertruck. The energy generation and storage business, which covers the Megapack and Powerwall products, the Supercharger charging network, software-based driver-assistance packages and after-sales services are its other income streams. The company is also working on a robotaxi service and a humanoid robot project called Optimus.
