What is Stellantis N.V. (STLA)?
Stellantis N.V. is a multinational automotive group registered in the Netherlands, formed in 2021 through the merger of France's PSA Group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Its shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker STLA; the company is also listed in Milan and Paris.
Many long-established brands sit under the group's umbrella: Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel and Vauxhall in Europe; Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati and Abarth of Italian origin; and Jeep, Ram, Dodge and Chrysler, which are strong in North America. Alongside passenger cars, it also makes light commercial vehicles; financing, spare parts and after-sales services are also part of the business model. It also cooperates with the Chinese electric vehicle maker Leapmotor through a joint venture.
