Siemens AG is a German technology company headquartered in Munich and founded in 1847. Its shares trade on the Xetra platform in Frankfurt under the ticker SIE. The group spun off its energy business as Siemens Energy in 2020 and has focused on industrial technologies.
The Digital Industries segment offers control systems and drives for factory automation, as well as product design and simulation software under the Siemens Xcelerator umbrella; its software portfolio has expanded through the acquisitions of Altair and Dotmatics. The Smart Infrastructure segment produces electrification and automation solutions for buildings, power distribution grids and data centers. The Mobility segment provides high-speed trains, rail signaling and maintenance services; Siemens trains are also used on high-speed rail lines in Turkey.
