What is Roche Holding AG (ROP.SW)?
Roche Holding AG is a pharmaceutical and diagnostics company based in Basel, Switzerland, founded in 1896. The company's securities trade on the Swiss stock exchange SIX. The ROP.SW code on Lzzo.com refers to the participation certificates that replaced the former non-voting dividend-right certificates in March 2026; the voting bearer shares trade under a separate code.
Its operations are run in two divisions. The Pharmaceuticals division develops products in areas such as oncology, neuroscience, immunology, eye diseases and hemophilia; Ocrevus, Vabysmo, Hemlibra and Phesgo are among the well-known medicines in its portfolio. Genentech in the US is wholly owned by the group, and Chugai in Japan is majority owned. The Diagnostics division provides hospitals and laboratories with testing instruments, reagents and digital solutions.
Those following Roche track biosimilar competition for drugs whose patents expire, drug candidates in obesity and neuroscience, growth in the diagnostics business, US pricing regulation and the effect of the Swiss franc. The Roche page on Lzzo.com shows the price in US dollars together with information on the data source; the coverage of the historical price series, however, depends on the data that the data provider offers for this new trading code.
