Izdemir Enerji Elektrik Uretim A.S. is an electricity generation company operating an imported coal-fired thermal power plant in the Aliaga district of Izmir. The company held its initial public offering (IPO) in 2023, and its shares trade on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker IZENR. IZENR stock is followed among electricity producers weighted towards thermal generation.
The plant uses supercritical boiler technology and is equipped with sulphur and nitrogen oxide removal systems for flue gas treatment; the facility has been generating electricity since 2014.
